Most public ceremony spots, including beaches, parks, and lookouts, need a state or county permit and liability coverage. We file the paperwork so nothing stalls your day.
Leave-no-trace know-how
Many public spots limit arches, chairs, and amplified sound and cap guest counts, and Kauaʻi's protected coastline and park lands carry their own rules. We design a day that's beautiful and within the rules.

How to Get Married in Hawaiʻi
The marriage license itself is refreshingly simple: apply online, pay $65, with no residency requirement, no waiting period, and no witnesses. Both partners do need to appear in person before a license agent, and the license is valid for 30 days, so timing matters. The part most couples underestimate is the location. A ceremony on a public beach or in a state park counts as commercial activity and usually requires a permit plus $1M liability insurance, even for a small, private ceremony.
